B'Beth Weldon

Originally from Mobile, Alabama, Weldon grew up drawing and painting with her mother, Margaret Weldon. Spending most of her summers in Fairhope and Point Clear, Ala., she had the opportunity to learn from various artists and teachers when she was not riding horses. It was her father who encouraged her to “dream big dreams and make them happen.” Weldon graduated from Mount Vernon College and Georgetown University with degrees in Business and Arts and Humanities. She worked in Washington for the Smithsonian and the Capital Children’s Museum. After returning home to the Eastern Shore, she operated a Bed and Breakfast. When Weldon is not volunteering, painting or writing, she owns and operates Prosperity Ridge Ranch, now specializing in sustainable living, and is a real estate investor. Weldon has worked with special needs children through the VSA arts of Alabama, has been commissioned for numerous fundraisers, and served as co-chairman of the silent auction for Polo at the Point and PACE Art Committee.
David Andrews

The Voice of Polo at the Point, David Andrews has been announcing Polo since 1979. He became involved with polo because he worked at the Real Estate division of Wellington, the developer of the Palm Beach Polo Club. He started announcing practice games and although he had brief aspirations of becoming a polo player, he returned to his strength and came back to announcing. “I like to get the audience involved as much as possible by explaining the game in an easy to understand fashion,” he says. David has been involved in the Polo at the Point event from the beginning and enjoys announcing the event, as the ambiance is friendly and sporting.
